At its annual meeting on January 5, 2010, one incumbent and five new board members were elected.
Jennifer Frohman will continue to serve on the board for an additional term. Five other vacancies on the board will be filled by Sharon Bayer, Dave Fisher, John Hennessey, Pam Marsocci and Bill Sturdevant.
The Pittsford Musicals board would like to thank its membership and extend special appreciation to all who were nominated.

Term Ends: January, 2012 Susan's first experience with Pittsford Musicals was building the set for Finian's Rainbow in 1986. Since then, she has served on the board from 1997-99, acted as Board President, participated in many committees, helped build sets, sewn costumes, hosted numerous cast parties and appeared in Pittsford Musicals productions of Guys and Dolls (Adelaide), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Helena/Janet), Dames at Sea (Mona Kent) and seven other shows. She has also performed with Shipping Dock, Blackfriars and Downstairs Cabaret theaters. Susan, a Pittsford resident for most of her life, is employed by Paychex and has two daughters, Tisah and Sasha.

Stuart Soloway

Term Ends: January, 2011 Stuart has been involved with PM for four years, most notably as Assistant to the director on both Fiddler on the Roof and Steel Pier. He served twice on the Show selection committee and participated in WXXI/PM pledge nights. Stuart resides in Pittsford with John Hennessey and their dog, Morgan. As the Arts Events Manager at The College at Brockport, SUNY, he is responsible for coordinating a 60 performance performing arts series. In his pre-Rochester life, for 15 years he worked for Columbia Artists Theatricals, sending Broadway shows on the road, as well as for The Walton Group, doing marketing for several Broadway shows.

Dave Fisher

Term Ends: January, 2013 Dave has been a member of Pittsford Musicals since 1982. He is a past board president and past treasurer with 18 years of service on the board. In 2008 he was awarded the Distinguished Service Awarsd. Strictly a backstage person, Dave has designed and built many sets for Pittsford over the years. For the past ten years he has also served as Set Designer and Technical Director for the Honeoye Falls–Lima drama and musical productions. Dave lives in Honeoye Falls with his wife Lisa and their children Stephanie and Kevin.

Term Ends: January, 2013 Jennifer has been a member of Pittsford Musicals since the 2004 production of Mame. She has been involved both on- and off-stage with every show since then. Jennifer brings to the Board her enthusiasm for the continued success of the organization and a great sense of humor. By day, Jennifer is a paralegal in the immigration group of a large law firm in Rochester. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University.

Sharon Bayer

Term Ends: January, 2012 Sharon's affiliation with Pittsford Musicals began in 1983 and has performed in ten productions and served a three year term on the Board of Directors. Sharon has been actively singing in the Rochester community for almost 30 years in chorales, churches, benefit recitals and performances. Sharon received a Business Administration degree from SUNY Fredonia and worked in the banking industry before starting a family with her husband, Tom. Through her involvement in their four children’s education, she was inspired to become a teacher. Sharon obtained a Masters degree from Nazareth College and teaches in Webster.

Term Ends: January, 2011 Gordon began his involvement with Pittsford Musicals building sets for Pittsford Musicals' 2003 production of The Music Man, with subsequent roles in the casts of the next six shows. He is in his sixth year on the board, and this year is chairing the Director Search and Spring Show committees. In addition to his Pittsford Musicals activities, he plays trombone with the Honeoye Falls Community Concert Band, the Penfield Pops Band and the Lehigh Station Bones, a jazz trombone quartet. By day, Gordon is a mild-mannered software engineer.

Term Ends: January, 2012 Andrew has been actively involved with many aspects of theater beginning with productions in high school. Besides acting in two Pittsford Musicals shows, he has worked with RAPA, Greater Rochester Repertory Companies (GRRC), Irondequoit Traveling Cabaret and the Port of Call Community Players. From 1996-2000 Andrew served as a founding board member of the GRRC. While with the GRRC he built sets, selected shows, videotaped productions, worked concessions, managed the house and assisted with their summer theater program. Andrew is employed as a Senior Social Welfare Examiner with Monroe County Department of Social Services.

John Hennessey

Term Ends: January, 2013 John has been involved with Pittsford Musicals since 1980 when he became part of the cast of Brigadoon. He moved to New York City in 1986 and returned to Rochester in 2002. He has served on the Board, was President in 2006, and has directed three productions: Fiddler on the Roof, Steel Pier and Carousel. He can always be found helping with sets, set decorating, selling tickets, doing promotions and doing whatever needs to be done to keep Pittsford Musicals alive and a vital community theatre in the Rochester area.

Pam Marsocci

Term Ends: January, 2013 Pam began her association with Pittsford Musicals as a cast member of Oklahoma! She has served two terms on the Pittsford Musicals Board of Directors, worked behind the scenes in a variety of capacities and directed Dames at Sea for the Rochester Theatrefest at GEVA's Nextstage. A graduate of Brandeis University with a BA with Honors in Theatre Arts, Pam has been a theatre director, performer and educator for over 35 years in professional, community, and educational settings. Pam was drama director for Honeoye Falls-Lima High School for seven years and recently retired as drama director for Pittsford Sutherland High School after nine years. She lives in Pittsford with her husband Steven and is the mother of three children.

Diane O'Neil

Term Ends: January, 2012 Diane O'Neil first joined Pittsford Musicals in 1995 during Brigadoon, gathering props,and she has worked back stage ever since. Diane has served on the Pittsford Musicals Board of Directors on and off for the last eight years and has served as President for three terms. She has also served two terms as secretary, as well as chair for several committees, including Director Search. Diane is the Office Manager at Twelve Corners Pediatrics and also serves on the Board of Directors for Center Stage at the JCC. In her spare time you can find Diane skiing on slopes around the Rochester area.

Term Ends: January, 2011 David's first involvement with Pittsford Musicals was The Music Man in 2002 and he has appeared in every show since. A board member since 2005 he currently is Chair of the Scholarship Committee and has served on the Show Selection and Director Search Committees. He is involved with other community, high school and church theatre groups. Offstage he is a father, church youth advisor and lawyer at Kodak.

Bill Sturdevant

Term Ends: January, 2011 Bill has been a member of Pittsford Musicals for the past 40 years. He served on the board in the 1970s, and more recently from 2004-06 and was as president in 2005. He has been involved either on stage, with both lead and chorus roles, and/or back stage for all shows since 1970 (he was the Starkeeper and Dr. Seldon this year, as well as a member of the stage crew). He believes this broad-based involvement has given him a unique perspective and skill set to bring to the Board as a member dedicated to keeping Pittsford Musicals the benchmark community theatre group it has historically been.
